Welcome to the Butler Public Library! As you may be aware by now, your Library is an invaluable resource tool that can assist you with all of your questions, concerns and educational needs. We are a multifaceted organization that thrives on the support and interest of Butler's residents, so stop by and support your Library!

We are consistently building and re-inventing our collection with your needs in mind. Our Library boasts an excellent New Book Section, an updated DVD collection and wonderful, free programs for children and adults. Suggestions and recommendations are always welcomed to help improve our services to you, our valued patrons. Do not hesitate to contact us with your ideas!

About Us

Our mission at the Butler Public Library since our founding over 80 years ago has been to service the community and provide free and easy access to a rich and diverse range of books, periodicals, audio and video media, and research materials.

The Library Board meets at 7pm on the first Thursday of every month. The Board, in conjunction with the Library Director, makes and oversees Library policies, sets and monitors the budget and determines the direction our Library will take in the future.

We invite you to attend the meetings and participate in creating the best possible community Library for ourselves and our children.
