Now that the winter months are behind us, we
can focus on summer reading. It takes a
long time for Ms. Karen to plan a summer filled
with great programs, activities and good books
to read. This year's theme is "BUGS".
The summer reading kick off party is on the last
day of school.....so plan accordingly.
When you sign up for summer reading you will
receive a calendar that lists all of the summer
reading programs. In addition, remember
that the Butler Public Library has all of your
summer reading books when school is closed.
A big thank you goes to Butler Public Schools
for sharing their books with the library.
The Butler Public Library is pleased to offer
fax and notary service to cardholders.

Our mission at the Butler Public Library since our founding over 75 years ago has been to service the community and provide free and easy access to a rich and diverse range of books, periodicals, audio and video media, and research materials.

The Library Board meets at 7pm on the first Thursday of every month. For 2008, the July meeting is scheduled for the second Thursday of the month, July 10, 2008 at 7pm. The Board, in conjunction with the Library Director, makes and oversees Library policies, sets and monitors the budget and determines the direction our Library will take in the future.
We invite you to attend the meetings and participate in creating the best possible community Library for ourselves and our children.
