Toddler Time & Story Times

Toddler Time meets at 10:15 A.M. on Thursdays for 2 -3 year olds who are able to sit through a short story and work with their caregivers to complete a small craft.

All parents are required to remain in the Library while the programs are running.


Story Time on Tuesday at 10:15 A.M. or Thursday at 1:00 P.M. offers thirty minute sessions with a story and other fun activities.

Monthly Saturday Story Times Offered
Ages: 3 – 5 yrs.
Time:  10:30 – 11:00 A.M.
Join Ms. Lisa for a story and a coloring
activity in the Children’s Room on Saturday mornings once a month. This free program is limited to 15 participants. Call 973-838-3262, or stop by the Library to register. Please call if you will not be attending after signing up. We always have a waiting list of children who would like to attend.


Early Childhood Literacy Resources

Sign-up with Ms. Lisa or Ms. Arlene for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program.
This is a nationwide Library program which promotes literacy/reading before kindergarten. Build vocabulary and language skills while bonding with your little one and taking part in this fun challenge. Small prizes are rewarded for every 100 books read.


ABC Mouse: Free within the Library
An early childhood learning website for children ages 2-7+. Children learn reading, math, science, social studies, art, and music through interactive activities. ABC Mouse can only be used within the Library.
