Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is beneficial to all.  In these classes Taylor will lead you through mindful centering and breathing practices and yoga poses with the aid of a chair.  This practice is a great form of yoga for beginners, those with physical disabilities, balance issues or anyone who has trouble getting down and up off the floor.  Benefits of chair yoga include increased mobility, strength, balance, concentration and relaxation.  Ultimately the goal of this class is to leave feeling good!  Please call the Butler Library at: 973-838-3262, or stop by our Circulation Desk to sign up.

Canasta ClubCanasta Club 
Fridays: January 6    (8 weeks)
Time: 11:00 AM
Come join the Canasta Club at the Butler Library.  This club is for beginners to advanced players and will be taught by Jim C. Canasta is a card game using two packs of playing cards. Wills and Trusts Planning Workshop, In-Person

Join the Canal Society of New Jersey’s Tim Roth as he explores the history of the Morris Canal from its inception in the 1820’s to its abandonment 100 years later. Learn about the technology used to overcome 1,674 feet in elevation. Discover how boats navigated along the Morris Canal, and what life was like for the many people who lived and worked along the canal. In addition, you will find out about some of the sites that can be visited today along the ever-expanding Morris Canal Greenway.

Learn about the Morris County Vocational School District Share Time Program at the Butler Public Library

10th Grade Students and Families

Interested 10th grade students and their families are invited to learn about the Morris County Vocational School District Share Time Program at an Information Session on Thursday, February 23 at 6:30 PM, located at the Butler Public Library.

The Share Time Programs provide half-day specialized career and technical education training as part of a student’s junior and senior year in high school. The programs prepare students for career-related employment, college, apprenticeships and military. Students in 10th grade can apply via an online application between January 18 – April 7, 2023 at www.mcvts.org/apply.
