Become a Member of the Butler Library

Materials can be checked out by anyone with a current library card from the Butler Public Library.  Butler residents must apply for for a library card in person.
Residents 16 years and older must show proof of address. (i.e Driver’s License, electric bill)
  • Minors must have their applications signed by a parent or legal guardian.  Proof of address or proof of address for the parent or legal guardian signing the application is required.
  • There is a replacement fee of $5.00 for lost or damaged cards.
  • Borrowing privileges will be suspended for patrons with fees exceeding 5.00.

Your Butler Public Library card is honored in the entire Morris county (M.A.I.N.) library group, as well as the over 150 participating libraries in the NJ State Library system (www.njstatelib.org) in northern New Jersey.
