Summer 2021 Reading
- Preschool: 0 to 5 years: Register on Google Forms: June 24
- Elementary: K to 5th grade: Register on Google Forms: June 24
- Tween/Teen: Tween/Teen 11 – 17: The teen program will be using READSquared which an online program to log books read.
How Does It Work?
Preschool: 0 to 5 years
Elementary: K to 5th grade
During the first week of Summer Reading, begin registering on Google Forms, June 24 – August 6, then come into the library, pick up your Reading Passport Log and a bag of goodies to take home for the Summer. Inside the bag of goodies will be five worksheets for each of the five weeks of Summer Reading and your Reading Passport which allows you to log in your minutes read each week. Complete the worksheets to be eligible for tickets for the prize raffle held in August and bring them to the library weekly in order to pick up a small incentive prize. Return your Passport no later than August 20 to be eligible to win a prize. The prizes will be on display in the display case in the Library for all to see.
Tween/Teen 11 – 17
Register on ReadSquared on June 24 and begin logging your minutes read. (at least 500 minutes during the five week program) Any teen who participates in the Summer Reading Program will be eligible to win a prize. A raffle will be held in August after the program is over and a winner will be chosen at random by ReadSquared.
When Does It Happen?
Online registration opens Thursday, June 24 and ends on August 6, 2020 through Google Forms. Completed Passports must be handed back to the Library by August 20 in order to be eligible for the prize drawings.
