Read a Story to Cory
For Beginner Readers
Every Monday from 6:15 pm – 7:15 pm
Come read to Cory, a Shih Tzu dog, with Ms. Kim Boon at the Library. Cory, a licensed therapy dog and his owner can’t wait for you to come and read a story to him.  Sign up for a 15 minute session by calling the Butler Library at: 973-838-3262. This program is free and meets Monday nights.

Story time offers 30-minute sessions with a story and other fun activities. Parents must remain in the Library. This free program is limited to 12 children. Registration is required on Google Forms. March BINGO
When: Monday, March 31
Time:  4:00 – 4:30pm
Ages: 5 – 10

Join us for  March BINGO. Prizes will be awarded to those who are winners of each BINGO game.  Each child needs to be registered separately on Google Forms so we have an accurate count of attendees.

Scavenger Hunt:  Count the number of eggs hidden around the library.
When:  April 1 – April 25
Pick up a form at the circulation desk before starting your hunt for the paper eggs hidden around the library.  Count the number of aqua, red, orange, black, blue, green, white, yellow and purple eggs.  Write the number of eggs you find for each of the colors on the entry form.  Enter for a chance to win a $10.00 Target gift card. Winner will be called.

Nimbus Creative Movement Workshop for Kids
When: Saturday, April 26
Time:  11:00 – 11:45am
Ages: 4 – 12

In this 45 minute creative movement workshop, children will gain insight in the artistic vision and movement styles of Artistic Director Samuel Potts.  Participants will be guided through a variety of movement exercises that explore different modes of improvisation and creation, what it means to communicate through movement and even get the chance to learn some Nimbus unique repertory.   Each child needs to be registered separately on Google Forms so we have an accurate count of attendees.  Hope to see you there.

 

 

 

S.T.E.A.M.  LEGO Flowers with mason jar container
When: Saturday, May 10
Time:  11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Ages: 5 – 11 years  (With caregiver would be helpful)

Assemble four lego flowers to create a beautiful project for May and display them in a mason jar.   All supplies will be provided for this project by the Library. Class size is limited, so sign up early.  If you decide  you can no longer attend this program, please call the library and let Ms. Arlene know.

 

S.T.E.A.M: Ceramic Surprise  Choose an object to paint and decorate.
When: Monday, May 19
Time: 4:00 – 4:45pm
Ages: 3 – 10 years

•  When you visit the library, ask for a student volunteer form and fill it out in order to keep track of your time and hours. The volunteer form must be signed by a parent/guardian. Give it to Ms. Arlene or Ms. Lisa for safekeeping.
